I have been a stylist for 3 ½ years and I’ve loved every second of it.. I love the feeling of making someone’s day so much better just by giving them a great new hair style. I have had extensive training in cutting, coloring, and styling and I continue to stay updated on the ever changing hair industry.
I have been told that I am a “great listener”. I will always give my opinion but never do anything the client isn’t sure about. I build great relationships with clients based on trust and communication. I have never been so passionate about anything in my life as I am for hair. When you truly love what you do, it is such a great feeling. “A thing of beauty is a joy forever.”

When I was in cosmetology school and new to the industry, I went to a seminar where the speaker (a very successful hair stylist) said that often he is asked what he does for a living. His response was "I physically and psychologically transform the lives and destinies of fellow human beings....I am a hairstylist!" Now that may seem a bit of an exaggeration, but I like to think that when my clients come to see me and sit in my chair, it's a chance for them to relax and separate themselves from their everyday stresses, as well as receive an amazing cut, color, style or waxing service. Something that is fresh and new, but easy to work with. I also think that it is important to educate my clients on how to repeat their "salon look" at home. It's always exciting to have a new cut and style, but it's even better when it can be fabulous every day!
I have been in this industry for 11 years, working with doll house for 9 years, and I love it! I enjoy the creative freedom, artistry, and social aspect that is hair. I love getting to know my clients, and through consultation, creating a custom cut, color or style that is unique for them. Whether it be something subtle and natural or a little more funky, I love it all. I didn't know 11 years ago that this was what I was going to do forever, but I am blessed to have found a career that I am passionate about and a salon that I enjoy working at every day.

I consider myself an artist! My creativity influences my work and it's my goal to help create the perfect cut and color to compliment your style! I love getting to know my clients on a deeper level so they feel comfortable with me. I want them to be confident that every time they come to see me they will get what they want.
I am very passionate about doing hair because there is nothing more rewarding than being able to change how clients look and feel about themselves. I love learning new concepts, and am continually absorbing the techniques and ideas of my fellow stylists.

While being a receptionist at the doll house Hair Salon, I am also a cosmetology student and will be graduating this August. I then hope to become the next assistant at doll house Hair Salon and then join the team as a stylist. I knew the moment I started my cosmetology education that this is what I was meant to do and I fell in love with the industry. I'm excited about all that I am learning as well as all the possibilities this career has in store for me.

Although I am very new to the industry, I live and breathe hair. I wake up every morning excited to go to work and do what I do. Growing up, I had a hairstylist that inspired me greatly, and with whom I had such a connection with that I decided I wanted to do the same for someone else. 10 years later, I have graduated cosmetology school and I am on my way to doing just that!
I'm a bit sassy, and a little bit of a girly-girl, but with an edge. I take pride in my ability to listen to my clients and transform their ideas into my personal work of art. I like to connect with people on a more personal level and learn about them and their lifestyle, and by doing that I can create a look that would fit best for them on a day to day basis.
Unfortunately I will not be on the floor for a few months because I'm currently furthering my education with doll house's incredible assistant program but I will keep a spot in my chair open just for YOU late summer/early fall!

Heather Martin
I have been a hair stylist for the past 12 years. After taking some time off to raise my son, Rumer, I am working as a stylist at doll house Hair Salon. I started my career at Panopoulos Salons before running my own salon, Studio 1. My Husband and I closed Studio 1 last year and opened doll house Hair Salon so we could focus on women’s hair. I have recently been training new assistants and providing continuing education to other senior stylists at doll house. I have been trained as a Schwarzkopf color educator, Great Lengths Extensions specialist and a Surface Hair Cutting educator.
My passions are making people feel better about themselves, to LISTEN to what they do and don't like about their hair. I love doing color and creating or re-creating a look that suites my guest. Hair cutting is also something I enjoy. Whether it's shaping up an existing style or going for that drastic oh-my-gosh-I-love-your-new-haircut look!

I love and appreciate the art of hair, and color is a huge passion of mine....modern and sassy, as well as very natural looking.
Good communication with my clients allows me to help you create the exact look you want to achieve. I listen well and if you say "only an inch", an inch is what you'll get. I graduated from Empire Beauty School in November of 2009, where I became passionate about women’s cuts, color, and styles. I love creating a look that fits the client’s personal style, and day to day lifestyle. I enjoy going above and beyond for each client, making them look and feel amazing. I am excited to become a stylist after I finish the assistant program.

Having worked in the salon industry for twelve years, I utilized my management and accounting skills for a few years but couldn’t shake the desire to be back in the salon. Now I have the pleasure of working with a group of creative and inspiring service providers who enjoy being motivated and challenged.
